Showsync creates technology for synchronized shows. At Showsync, I'm an active developer of our tool Videosync, which requires me to use in different programming languages like C++ and GLSL.

Videosync is a tool that runs besides and extends the capabilities Ableton Live. With it, you can use video content in the Session View. This allows artists to control their video show the same way as they do with their music, resulting in a lot of artistic freedom while keeping the show synchronized. At CUT_, I'm responsible for the live visuals and synchronized lighting. For this I use the software I develop at Showsync.

CUT_ took off rapidly after their rendition of Stromae’s ‘Papaoutai’ went viral. A cover the Maestro himself shared on Facebook to display his approval. In the past year CUT_ have been playing a massive amount of shows, including big festivals such as PITCH, ADE and Lowlands. They also made a national Dutch television appearance on the popular talkshow, DWDD.

The Paradiso Vinyl Club released a 7” single of ‘Trigger' in September whilst CUT_ dropped a remix album in October which features producers such as I.N.T. and Polder. CUT_ are currently working on a full length studio album. New influences such as FKA Twigs, Disclosure, SBTRKT and Aluna George will definitely spring to mind when listening to their new work.

CUT_ never fails to surprise live on stage either, which not only consists of the heavy live beats of Sebastiaan Dutilh and the pristine voice of Belle Doron but also the live generated visuals by Hidde de Jong. The audio and visual show is often referred to as an “other-worldy experience”.
